I have a 2000 Honda Civic. Recently it started idling rough and low. I also have started to notice that it lacks power and surges when it is in overdrive. It runs great and still gets about 29 mpg other than that. If anyone has any ideas it would be appreciated.

Have you replaced your spark plugs recently? Use NGKs only.

The car had a complete tune up about 30k ago. I do not think they used NGK plugs, which model plug would be best. Which wires would you go with.

On the underside of the hood, Honda normally has a sticker listing the recommended NGK spark plugs for your engine. Go with the colder (higher number) plug. If you have less than 80,000 miles on your car, you probably don't need to replace the wires. When the time comes to replace them, go with OEM or another name brand wire.

The car has 113k on it. I think the wires were changed when it was tuned up around 80k, but I will check.
