So I had a baby 2 months ago and ever since then I have had problems with my bowel movements.. It wasn't bad at first but now I am in so much pain I have a panic attack if I have to go.
It feels like a rip when I go but inside.. I bled and then have major pain afterwards. I can't even sit.. I got cream but its not working. I just went to the dr today and he gave me another cream to try.. Is there ANYTHING else I can do?
I drink lots of water and I eat right.

If a Doctor has examined you and that's the best he can come up I can't think of anything else - yes, healthy eating, lots of water.

Has he referred you to a specialist?

Where is the pain?

Is the blood red or brown/black?

What are the creams for, to put where?

Are you talking hemorrhoids or are you talking constipation?

My Dr didn't examine me :/
He just prescribed a cream since the over-the counter one isn't working. He said if the prescribed cream does not work then I will need a colonoscopy which I am really REALLY trying to avoid.
The blood is bright red and the pain is more on the left inside. If I move a certain way I feel a sharp pain along with the constant pain. :(

Is this caused by hemorrhoids or constipation?

If you answer my question I might be able to help you.

I think it might be fissures? I don't see any hemorrhoids unless they are inside?
Not constipation.

Why avoid a colonoscopy? That will tell your doctor exactly what is going on in your lower bowel and why there's pain.

It does indeed sound like fissures. Remember that bright red blood indicates that the bleeding is closer to the anus rather than further up in the colon. It might be best for you to take a stool softener for a short time to see if this helps to correct the problem.

I recommend MiraLax if you have it where you live.

Thank you J_9 for the advice.
I am getting a softener today. Just wondering how long I can take them for?

Wondergirl- I was afraid the colonoscopy would hurt ( heard some stories from others) but I did some research and educated myself on it. If I need it then I will get it done :)

My doctor introduced me to the doctor who would do my colonoscopy. He was a tall, handsome Indian man with a nice smile. His first words to me were, "You will not feel a thing. There will be no pain. I pride myself on not causing pain." And he was right. And later at the end of the colonoscopy, I got to watch on a 17-inch screen the little camera that was on a thin cable as it traveled down my large intestine. I never realized what a lovely pink my insides are!
