OK this may sound petty but it's driving me crazy! My baby is pregnant and I brought home a new puppy and she is incredibly jealous of him! She's housebroke but since bringing him home she has been doing 1 and 2 in the house! Not to mention the father my male dog doesn't like him either! They are both jumping him every chance they get. I say give the new pup away to a home who can give him the love he needs. Here is where the problem lays my wife has fallen in love with him! But Im the one who got him... Would it be wrong of me to just give him away and say he must have gotten out the fence, Im going to go crazy! I feel like the puppy is ruining my female dog!

You can't give away her dog I can't even imagine how bad I would feel if that happened to me even if I didn't know the truth and she will go looking for it you need to be honest.

I would give the puppy away now.

By bringing a new dog int othe home while you have a pregnant female is just asking for trouble.
The female is going to be super protective at this stage, and the father of the pups will see anything else as a threat to his dominance and to his b*tch.

Trying not to sound harsh but it was a very silly thing to do...

Rehome the puppy.

I have told her and she gets mad! We did discuss getting rid of our male dog who are the puppies father. He seems like he's going crazy last night he somehow managed to get ahold of some staples he was eating them. Had them stuck in his mouth/teeth and as we were trying to get them out he tried to bite us! He has always jumped on and played to ruff with my now pregnant. Baby. Maybe we accuired the new pup for a reason??

Is there a reason you bred your dog?

Your male was here first. He should remain in your home. I would think that it would be completely unfair to give away your older dog because he doesn't like the puppy.

He is an intact male. They tend to be more possessive/grumpy/assertive. He has a female that he bred. He is going to protect her. This is his home, has been for awhile.. he will protect it.

When removing the staples from his mouth, it hurt. He didn't bite you because he doesn't like you, he bit you because it hurt him when you pulled the staples from his mouth.

You are putting way too many human emotions into this situation. You were wrong by bringing home a puppy into your house with a breeding pair. But, since it appears the puppy isn't going anywhere, just keep him separate from everyone else. Don't allow the puppy to be around both at the same time. Introduce him to the male first.. the female isn't going to be very accepting right now. CORRECT the male's behavior. You can do that... you don't have to allow bad behavior.

Another option is to neuter your male. If he doesn't have testosterone surging through his body, he may settle down and be more accepting.

Another thought to this whole situation... your dogs may not be friendly dogs and were perfectly happy with just you, your wife and themselves.. very possible.

I guess if you want to start a fight, than give the puppy away. If you want to be a poor dog owner, than give the male away. Sorry if this sounds harsh, but there really isn't a right thing to do here other than to train and correct your dogs when you see behaviors you don't like.

Yea you're right and no it doesn't sound harsh. I have thought about all of that! And as far as my male the dad You're right he's very protective and he has is schedulded to get clipped tomorrow. I spoke to my friend and she said give him a chance but if he harms her puppies than that will be the last draw. I didn't mean for for him to breed her he's only 7months old and so I didn't think he would try anything. I didn't plan on getting the new puppy over I just went to look t them I didn't have 100 dollars to buy one. I just looooove litte and well it was my cousins wife and she just was like here take him so I couldn't resist!
