Here's some information for everyone worried about failing EtG tests. I take 1 or 2 EtG tests a week usually on a Monday. I drink pretty regular on fridays and have never had a problem passing on a Monday. I have had 2 beers (1 tall 1 normal) and passed 22 hours later. I once had 7 beers and a shot and passed 36 hours later. Not bragging and not saying you can get away with it, just passing on info and how it has worked for me. I'm 26 year old male, 6 ft 165 lbs. High metabolism, not much body fat, and fairly athletic. When I know I'm pushing it with a test coming up I drink water, not huge amounts but steadily throughout the day so that I'm urinating about once every 30-45 min and there is still a little color in it. I do cardio pretty much nonstop. I eat all the foods recommended to speed up metabolism and avoid the ones that slow it down. Just recently learned of the fructose method so will definitely be trying that. Again this is just to help anyone who might need it.

Now for my questions. As I said I drink pretty much every Friday and never have a problem on Monday. This weekend however I did the Friday thing and kept it going Saturday after I woke up. Drank about 10 beers throughout the day on Saturday from about 11am until about 7pm. Drank plenty of water in between beers as well. Took my test Monday at 5 so had about 46 hours of clean time. Usually I wouldn't worry about this but the Friday and Saturday combination has me worried. Fri drank prob 15 beers throughout the day and until 10 pm. Does my Friday drinking have any effect on my EtG elimination from Saturday? I know you said it is additive so I'm thinking I'm OK. Also Saturday night I drank a large cup of soda that contained high fructose corn syrup. Would this count as fructose to speed up the metabolic process? Thanks!

You aver that you are tested weekly for alcohol consumption by a method that detects even small amounts of alcohol up to 5 days. Even a small amount of alcohol like (one beer) can be detected up to 120 hours later.

Do you really expect me to believe that?

I suppose you can believe whatever you would like. I really have no reason to lie about this. I have asked other questions on this topic before and you were a huge help. I have heard you state multiple times that 120 hours is rare and is more an advertising claim for the companies who do these tests. I'm only passing on info so that it might assist you in answering my question or at least give others hope who are worrying about pending results.

Regardless of whether you believe me or not can we say, hypothetically, I'm telling the truth and answer my questions? I'm curious about the fructose helping metabolize ethanol, and what kind of effect stacking 2 days of drinking would have as opposed to isolated events. I know I would be fine with just the Friday episode, and would be fine with just the Saturday episode, but how does combining the two come into play?

My comments above were entirely tongue-in-cheek. My sense of humor does fit well with internet.

Of course I believe you. And there has never been an instance of EtG being detected at 120 hours.

Drinking on consecutive days doesn't have an additive effect as EtG doesn't accumulate. Just like alcohol it continues to eliminate even as you drink and create more.
