I have a print of Winston Churchill that is signed by E. Spring-Smith.

I have tried searching for the artist online but can only find links to books illustrated by the artist (The Seventh Magpie 1948 and The Kingfishers See it Through 1948 both by Catherine Mary Christian)

The print depicts Churchill as The Warden of the Ports. It has a quote from Churchill in the bottom right hand corner.

Yes, the artist did illustrates historical books and yes, it is a perfect likeness of Winston Churchill.

Was that your question?

Hi

I am looking for information on the artist and I am trying to identify the source of the print. There is no information on the artist or their works online other than references to books that they have illustrated.

I don't even know if the artist is male or female.

Thanks

Identifying the source of the print will be difficult unless there are markings on the back. I came up blank in my search for the information on the illustrator (I have other connections).
