I was born in Germany. However, we emigrated to the US when I was 7. Subsequently my mother and stepfather became naturalized citizens and I was naturalized under their filing. Is it possible for me to get a German passport?

How was you naturalized under their filing... you can't make the decision to become a US Citizen until your 18th birthday. And you have to do that on your own. Was that in fact done?

In order to retain the German citizenship you need to have a "Beibehaltungsgenehmigung", a certificate allowing you to be naturalized in another country while keeping German citizenship. If you don't have that, you loose German citizenship the moment you are naturalized in another country.
