I took an EtG test I drank three shots about 11 hours before I drank about a gallon of water and my pee was completely clear will it still show up or will it be marked as diluted?

It is unlikely that your urine would be dilute after 11 hours. I don't have a clear vision of when you drank the shots, hours before the test and when you drank the water, in the interim.

I'm still missing the sequence. If you drank a large quantity of water about 2 hours before the test then it will probably be dilute although quite a bit of liquid can be consumed without bringing creatinine below 20mg/dl.

As to urine coloration, that is usually left to the tech at the point of collection. There was no mention at that time? If not, it will probably be tested as otherwise the lab makes no money.

I took the shots at roughly 2 in the morning at eleven I started downing water the test was at roughly 1 in the afternoon at which point I gave them like 1/3 cups of crystal clear urine

I believe my above response is right on target then. One final question. After consuming the water did you urinate before the time of the test.

There are two items that should be checked at POC. That is temperature and coloration. After providing the sample it should have been sealed in your presence and initialed. You should also have signed the requisition form. If the sample was suspicious (due to one of those factors) that should have been noted on the form.

At that time interval there would still be EtG in your blood and that in turn makes it into the urine. So even though you may have cleansed your bladder of existing EtG it would be replaced by EtG still in circulation.

The timing of the water and urination intrigues me and if you pass the test you should rush to a casino because you are extremely lucky. Wouldn't bank on it though.

There are literally thousands of environmental and food items that can create false positives. EtG is the most ill-conceived test ever used. The problem is that your reading will probably be far above what could be attributed to accidental ingestion or environmental exposure.

Further, such a claim on your part would at best result in another type of test that would only confirm drinking.

I would think long and hard before making a false denial. That could compound your problem and turn a bad situation into a catastrophe
