Hello, I need to install an up-flush toilet in a 3/4 bathroom in my basement. I need it to handle toilet, shower, and sink.

Can anyone recommend the best company/model to buy? I see 2 main ones out there that I'm trying to choose between: the SanFlo SaniPlus or the Zoeller Quik Jon Ultima 202.

Does anyone have experience installing, or more importantly owning/maintaining either/both of these? Which should I choose?

Thank you!

Hi Dan

Both have pros and cons, but overall I have had the best experiences with the zoeller quikjon.

The saniflo macerator pump system is noisy and cycles frequently. You are also limited to toilet choices as you must use a saniflo toilet. However, the saniflo system only requires you to build the floor (or base) of the shower up off the floor so that the toilet and sink can sit on floor without building it up.

The zoeller system is more reliable and doesn't seem to break down as often as the saniflo systems. Here, you can use any toilet you want, but the whole bathroom has to have the floor built up... awkward, but works fine.

In my opinion, stick with zoeller, but consider installing the sewage ejector into a pit in the floor. In this way, you do NOT have to build the floor up in any way!

Good luck!
