I have been a single mom for 7 years. My son has always been very loveable, but lately he has started acting very annoying. He yells while he is singing, dacing,he is always saying he is sexy. My boyfriend is telling me I need to do something about it. At first I got mad with my boyfriend but now I am traying to listen. I don want my son to be rejected by other kids or adults. I don't know how to deal with this. Does my son need attention? Is he acting normal ?doi need to dicipline him and tell him he is being annoying? What can I do?

I have no idea how you currently discipline your son or how you should discipline your son - your boyfriend is a lot closer to the situation. What does he say?
Me? I'd remind him to be quiet. If he isn't he would go to bed half an hour earlier that night. I'd stick to it, too.
He's saying he's sexy and he's 7? What has he been exposed to on TV, movies, the Internet?
Is part of the problem that he feels challenged by or jealous of your boyfriend?
Sounds pretty normal to me. My 10 year old tends to act very similar.

Maybe it's a male thing - so does my husband.

My younger son at that age used to "skate" around the living room with a towel wrapped around his middle and pretend to be Dorothy Hamil (during the time when she was becoming famous). Don't tell him I posted this.

Well all the boys in my class since about 3rd or 4th grade act EXACTLY like you described and they still are doing it

Normal, and it is going to get worst, soon hormones, and girls and locked bath or bedroom doors and all of that.
