If a judgement isn't renewed, doe's that mean the original debt holder no longer has the right to collect on the original debt?

Yes - unless there are other circumstances which you are not stating.

The Judgment is taken and is good for x years - if the time expires the Judgment is dead and the creditor can't file for another Judgment.

All else aside the debt would be out of the Statute.

Just to clarify, it means the creditor can no longer use the judgment to collect. Meaning they can't use legal means to collect. But the debtor still owes the debt.

I should have been more clear - the debt doesn't go away. The ability to collect on the Judgment does.
