I have a coleman central air unit for by manufactured home and we recently had trouble with it not cooling. We notice the fan not turning and was told that the fan motor was going so after waiting for days for the repair man my son and I decided to replace the fan motor and capacitor ourselves, which we just did and the air unit started and fan was running but stopped after about 15 minutes then would not run any more after restarting up a couple of times. We have check filter on furnace door and changed (thermostat at one time was flashing filter). What else could it be? I reset the thermostat and I do not know where the condenser access panel is to see if there is a reset button on unit (is access panel same panel where capacitor is located?) Is there another filter perhaps I don't know about? I appreciate any good advice it is in the 90's here and unbearable for my chldren and me in this home but after buying motor and capacitor I am broke so advice is appreciated!! Thanks!

Is this the indoor motor or the outdoor motor that is not working? I could not tell by your description.

It is the outdoor fan motor that I replaced and is still not working. It started to work when I first changed the motor & capacitor but only for a few minutes at this point it will not start at all. The inside fan at the furnace does sound like it turns on when I move it from auto to on. Today I took out outside breaker and put back in and fan started to work but it seems when it gets hot it stops and starts hissing and fan will not turn anymore!
