Hello all,
Just wondering if my contractor can run a 30' line from my new toilet on the 2nd floor to the stack? I have web joists.. so should work keeping in with 1/4''.. my question is he's struggling with how that would look.. is there any plumbing codes in mn we need to worry about?

No code issues that I am aware of, but yeah, running the pipe up in the webbed joists will cause the eye to go to the pipe, for sure.

Is the plumber sure he can't drop down into the basement through a closet or perhaps drop the pipe and box it out? I'd explore these options before running 30' of exposed sewer pipe.
