I'm on/have been on the birth control pill for the last 4 months with no missed pills and taking every pill within the same hour every day, which (according to the information that comes with my prescription) means that the pills is 99% effective. Also, because I know that I take my birth control perfectly and we don't like how condoms feel, my long term, STD-free, boyfriend and I rarely use condoms. I've talked to my doctor and read the most reliable websites around and have been told that not using condoms when on the pill is okay, just as long as I continue to take it the way I do now. BUT, I was supposed to get my period on the 28th and just got it today (30th) and it's not quite as heavy as my usual periods are, but also doesn't look like the spotting that I used to have before I went on birth control when I was 16 to regulate my period. I took a pregnancy test last night and it was negative and while I've been having PMS symptoms, none of them are typical pregnancy symptoms. Should I be worried about being pregnant?
