Hi and hope you can help.. heres what happened.
Was using mower at the time, it stopped, turned it off and pulled the sparkplug cap off so I didn't chop my hands off, turned it on its side, unwrapped flax and string from the blades and thought this had solved my problem however, when I turned it back up oil had spilled everywhere , there was some in what I think is the air filter on the right above the primer button and also coming out of what I think is the exhaust (round metal with holes init on left hand side) and the cord is stuck. Now... with everything back in it won't start, the blades turn freely, the cord will pull out a little way jam and then pull back in again.
Im draining the oil now in hopes that it will come out off all the places it wasn't supposed to go in the first place and prob have to clean the air filter out too and refill with oil.. but I can't tell if this is the reason the cord would stick or not?
Thanks.

I am in no means an expert but try taking the spark plug out and pulling the cord it my have vapor locked pull it until nothing comes out of the cylinder the replace the plug it may still hard to start and may smoke from the exhaust that is just the oil burning out of the muffler but that is just a thought OK

Thanks, gave that a try but no difference unfortunately, good chance to clean the plug :-)
