When the unit is turned on, everything functions perfectly. After running the unit approximately 30 minutes, the condenser fan stops working. If the air conditioner system is turned off for awhile (a reset), then the system works well for 30 minutes, then the condenser stops running. I replaced the capacitor. What could be causing the condenser fan to be in the state of intermittently that I described above?

The condenser fan motor contains a internal overload. After it trips it takes awhile for it to automatically reset and start to run. If the coil is not clean in the outside unit it can cause the motor to overheat and trip the overload. If the overload has tripped a lot it could be weak and then the motor will have to be replaced. If the motor is running backwards it will also cause it to overheat. You need to check all the above items and make a decision as to what is the cause of the problem then fix it.

Thanks for your response. The coil is clean (I made sure of that issue). Whenever the motor stops running, I can feel a lot of heat in the unit. How do I determine if the motor is rotating backward? Can a low freeon cause this issue? Is there a way to check if the motor is bad?
