This is for anyone who has read Black Beauty. I haven't read Black Beauty but I've heard it is a good novel and that at one point in it he becomes sick. I just want to know why does he become sick? I'm asking simply because I'm very fond of horses.

I bet this is the result of a book report someone has due... and this is a way for the teacher to know they actually read it.

I highly recommend actually reading the book... its a good work of literature... and it's a worthy passtime.
