My friend recently purchased some 859M room thermastat and wall heaters...

His question to me was:"even though the thermastat dial is turned all the way to the left(in the off position), why do the wall heaters still click on? Is there a room comfort setting that makes them always stay at least 60 and higher? I told them that I didn't know... can someone help me out?

Thanks,
J:confused:

What is the lowest setting on the thermostat? If the lowest tenp is 60 degrees when turned all the way to the left then the temp in the house will stay at 60 degrees

The 859M is a COOLING thermostat, it's meant for an evaporative cooler or a vent fan to remove heat from ar room, or to pump cold air in.
