Hi I am wondering the same thing, trying to figure out if there is away that my husband can adopt my two children. They are 9yrs and 12yrs. My husband has pretty much been raising them their whole life since my 9yr old was 1 1/2 and my 12yr old was 4. Their biological father isn't allowed to see them without going through a safe program which is supervised by security guards and this is until they turn 18yrs old. He has never signed up to attend and he don't pay a dime in child support. My oldest has asked him if her step dad could adopt them and that she wants nothing more for him to let that happen but of course he told her no. Which really broke her heart. I live in Texas and I hope some one can help me. Thanks
