I had two sips off a friends mixed drink at a wedding to taste the combination. I would gues it was around one tsp of alcohol. Will that show up in a EtG blood test performed by lab corp. I had the sips on Saturday evening and Gould be tested Thursday morning?

Definitely not. You would have no problem with any type test at that amount of alcohol-to-time but EtG blood is far less sensitive than urine. Why are they doing blood?

It is required by my work. I signed an agreement to not drink for one year. I didn't consider this drinking but started to worry after the sips an reading the sensitivity of the blood EtG test. It could occur Tuesday at the earliest but most likely Thursday. Thank you for the response. Do you think that level would show on Tuesday?

No it will not. Not even close.

Where did you read of EtG blood sensitivity? It is almost never used, except postmortem, because the detection time is so much shorter than urine.

I just did some Google searches to find out more about the test. I may have been confusing the blood with the urine because I thought the blood EtG test was more sensitive. I double checked my Lab slips from my employer and it does say a 5 panel test and a ethanol blood test. I will never sip again this has been very stressful. I am glad you think it will be okay.
