There was this animation that I saw on a plane to Paris(?), I can't remember the name of it but here's the summary:
The mother, marries a mortal so that she can have a baby, if it's a girl, she teaches it magic, boy,I forgot. But after a certain time, the father cannot be with his wife anymore according to the witch's tradition. At this moment of time,the witch cast a spell on him so that all traces of his memory is lost onto her child, father can still remember baby, but baby cannot.
-Flash forward-
Girl grows up, goes to school, has a crush on a boy, who's competing for a gym competition, coach is actually her father but she doesn't know(something along those lines), so go home, keep on pestering her mother, mother doesn't want to tell, cut short, girl finds spell and cast on mother, mother follows command, girl learns new spell that enables her to find her father, girl finds father and mother sighs telling father why he cannot live together but she relents, family becomes happy.
