So I am from canada, I married a Tunisia man in 2009 in Tunisia and registered it at the Canadian embassy in tunis. His lawyer sent me an invitation to a court date in 2011 just shortly after we agreed to divorce. My ex husband told me that unless I wanted money or anything from him I wouldn't have to show up at this court date. If I was a "no show" they wouldn't grant the divorce as we both leave with what we had. I moved while all of this happened so his lawyer hasn't sent me my divorce papers. I have no way of getting in contact with my ex husband. I've tried numerous times to talk to him and his family but no one seems to respond. Where can I go or how do I go about finding out if my divorce is finalized? Or if I can even get re married to my fiancée, please someone help me out!!
