The NCP doesn't let me know where our 6 month old baby is on his visits. He has him three weekends a month. When I ask where is the baby he does not reply and says- the baby is OK. What are my rights? How long am I supposed to give him to tell me where the baby is? Before we had custody papers drawn up he took the baby with a promise top return and did not come back. Do I have a right to know where my baby is when he is with the NCP on the weekend??

How is this addressed in your "custody papers"? Unless the papers specifically say you need to be informed where the child is, no, you have no right to this information.

Almost never is this in the custody paper work, Do you have to call and tell the NCP where the child is,every time you leave the home ? Can the NCP call you up and ask you what are you are doing and where is the child any time ?
Sorry but normally this is no, he has the child during his time frame. If he does not return the child, or is always late or other issues, you can try to get it added by going back to court that he has to at least give you a general idea.
Remember this is also his child, and yes before there was a custody order, he was under no obligation to return the child to you, he had as much rights to the baby as you did, assuming he was on the birth certficate.

IF - and "we" don't know that there are - there are health issues this is not uncommon language in NY.
