Hey I was on the pill and I gave it up mid pack 21 days ago because I didn't get a period for about 2 months. I had sex 4 days later unprotected, I still have no period but I had period like cramps a couple of days ago. Also last week I woke up one morning and out of no where I got a hot flush and then just vomited and I was fine after. I did have a sick kind of feeling in my throat for a couple of days but I don't no if that was just nerves. My chest isn't sore but my nipples are. Every other time I gave up the pill I usually got my period a few days later. I took a hpt 15 days after I had sex but it was negative. I'm 22 and I'm not overweight or underweight. Any info much appreciated

Wouldn't it be so easy if we could diagnose pregnancy from symptoms, or over the internet? It would sure help us on this site, since the majority of the questions are "Am I pregnant"?

Sadly, we can't tell you, even if you have symptoms. Pregnancy symptoms, PMS, flu, and many other things, are all the same.

The only way to diagnose pregnancy is through a positive urine test (home pregnancy test), a blood test at your doctors office, or an ultrasound (that only works if you're far enough along).

Since we can't access those things, you'll have to wait and see, retest if you miss your next period, or see your doctor. Those are your only options.

Good luck.

thanks hate the wait:)

The wait sucks big time. Been there, done that, and it sucked every time. But, that's really all you can do. That's part of pregnancy, or trying to conceive. You have to do the waiting period, and it's not always a simple "wait a few days after your period and test". Sometimes it takes longer then that to confirm pregnancy.

I can only suggest that you treat yourself like you're pregnant, until you know for sure. That means no drinking, smoking, and start taking prenatal vitamins. You can get them over the counter, and if you're not pregnant, they won't hurt you at all, but if you are, they'll make a world of difference for your unborn child.

Please let me know how it goes, and don't worry too much. The waiting doesn't last forever. ;)
