I have recently took an early retirement and cannot afford my mortgage My daughter and 2 grandchildren live in 1 room of my house 2 girls ages 14 and 7 she is on ssi and has been on the housing list for 6 years in our city we were told the only way to get in was to be homeless or a fire or evicted . Though 3 of them share the room .I have a chance to rent out my house so I can keep it and move on What is the best way for me to begin this process? I would lke to give 90 day notice and need eviction paper for housing authority

Thank You

Why 90 days... most states only require 30 days notice to vacate. Have them properly served with the notice so it will stand up in court... then if they don't leave, go to court to have them removed...

Were is this so we can give something a bit more specific to your area.

Thank you for your help. This is Everett MA I thought 90 days would be OK.
She is my daughter and I did not want to push to hard

Is there a problem with her moving? If she just needs a letter from you stating that she needs to move, you can give her any amount of time you want. Or does the housing authority need a court ordered eviction notice? Because if they do, then giving 90 days won't help. You need to go to court to get that court order. So by giving a 90 day notice you just delay things.
