Hi, I'm hoping someone can give me some advice on this. My sister has a year & a half old baby girl and she keeps leaving her daughter at our mothers place to be on the streets, sometimes she goes out in the cold at night with her child, running around to heaven knows where, while her daughter isn't appropriately dressed for such occasion, Ive even gone so far as to tell her to please dress her child warmly when going out in the cold with her daughter. Her daughter now has a cold, and keeps coughing, it's a very bad cough and she's been coughing for almost a week now like this, yet she gets no coughing syrup and the mother continues these late night walks in the cold with her daughter being under dressed. Ive seen when she's smoking, her daughter will maybe happen to sit next to her and there will be big smoke clouds in the child's face, when I confront her about this, its as if she never heard me. She's also a prostitute and uses drugs, we believe its either cocaine or methamphetamine, reason for us believing this, is we found a "tik" globe and she stays up all night some nights and all the rest of the symptoms are there, and these days she also sniffs a lot, and spends a long time in the bathroom. Ive also witnessed her using these drugs along with some other drugs a few years ago (I was still very young, and did not use any). Recently I've also noticed that her daughter also has a chipped tooth now, and a little while back, her daughter was taken to the hospital for drinking "bleach" as the mother was not watching her child. When she's at my mothers place and sits around she's not watching her daughter, and I know while over discipline is abuse, the matter here is, she either abuses her daughter, or she does nothing at all, its as if she cannot just mildly maybe slap the child on her hand for doing something wrong, she has to abuse her or do nothing at all. I have a year & a half old daughter too, but she has manners, and I sped a lot of quality time with her, she's a happy, neat, lovely child.The child she has now by the way, they found that she was on drugs while pregnant with her, I fear its going to be the same case again.Recently we also found out that she's pregnant yet again, what to do now?
She told my mother and several of us in the house, that if my mother wants to tell her how to raise her child, then my mother can be the mother and needs to act like her daughters mother, and not call her for any help, but she refuses to give the child up to my mother, so this means she only want my mother to be her personal nanny. My sister's a very dirty and UN-organized person, she'll let her child sleep on a dirty mattress and dirty sticky (because of candy) blankets. She also gives her daughter way too much candy and the parts of the teeth you use to bite on is black on the insides, and she doesn't brush her daughters teeth much. My sister's boyfriend lives with his mother and his sister and father, of which the mother and sister uses "tik" and some believe the father's an alcoholic, we also believe that my sister's boyfriend also uses drugs, as when they both were living with my mother, they constantly fought over drugs, and who took how much of what. Putting that aside, They have also regularly been physically fighting in front of the child, and screaming either at her or in front of her. This is only what we know of!
