All right I know this may be weird, but here it goes. I'm a 13 year old girl with a 17 year old girlfriend. Our birthdays are two days a part... Is this still against the law. I hear that the law only puts act if you have sexual inter-course which is impossible with a female. My girlfriends parents are worried she will go to jail, so I have been looking all around to make sure she won't get in any real trouble. The last thing I want is her to get put away.

If you are doing anything sexual with her, she can be in trouble. She is what a senior in High school and you just out of middle school? She is too old to be messing with you. What do your parents think of this situation, or are you doing this behind their back?

Why do you think having sex is not possible for her ? It does not apply to just the boy, it works both way. Have you not seen the teachers ( women) who had sex with students that went to jail.

Sexual contact is more than a penis in a vagina. There's more to sex then just that one act. So yes, even though you're both female, sexual contact is still possible, and she would still be held accountable, because of her age, and yours. But, it does depend on where you live. Although I don't know of any State where the legal age of consent is less than 14. Most States are 16 or older.

As for dating. You're a minor. If your parents agree that you are allowed to date, and are okay with you dating this girl, and are aware of her age, and everything else, then you can date. But dating does not include sexual contact.

Try asking your parents for their permission to have sex with her. I'm sure they WILL change their tune.

So, yes, if you kiss, if she touches your breasts or vagina, she can go to jail.

Really, your parents are agreeable to your dating at 13 and not only dating but dating a 17 yr old? I not only find that hard to believe, but I think your local child protection services agency would also agree with me. Your parents could get in trouble. Her parents have a right to be worried.

And no, intercourse is not the only way to get in trouble. Any sexual contact can be prosecutable at your age.
