I have just removed the coving from a room, but some of the adhesive (plaster type) is still tuck to the walls and ceiling. Would be most grateful for suggestion or proven methods of removing it.

Well terry, ceiling coving gives me a picture of bygone constructed homes, but new upscale construction is getting back to old world quality. Generally, newer installations used a dap mastic and finishing nails to keep the coving straight. If the adhesive remains on the wall finish then it needs to be carefully lifted off the surface. If there is a paint coat beneath the adhesive, then the paint will come off and a new tape and texture surface may need application. There are neat disguise methods such as putting up cove trim band wall decorated paper that really make an individual statement. Good luck, nm
