Sub zero Fridge Model 590 Water dispenser won't shut off. It will only shut off when we pull the ice maker ice container off which releases pressure off the switch in the ice maker? We had some work done on the freezer six months ago as it was icing up lots but nothing else is new. My son just went to get a glass of water one day and it never stopped. Tried turning fridge off for 5 to 10 minutes but nothing else changed? Water pressure is as strong as ever and constant. Thanks for your help!

When you press lever for water it pushes the button on a microswitch. The switch is bad or the solenoid or water valve is stuck. I would guess that the switch is bad, first, and test it. It costs about $5.00.
