To do the calculations correctly you will need a ON SITE survey completed by a knowledgeable HVAC company. Then after that is done they will have to use your utility costs per KW in order to find out what would be the best SEER for your application. Sometimes you can buy a unit that is extremely energy efficient but it will take 20 years of savings to pay for the upgrade and by then the unit is shot so you will see no advantage.
