I am almost a week and a half late on my period.. I did calculations and there isn't anyway,IMO, that I could be pregnant.. I took 2 home pregnancy test and they both came out negative. I have the PMS symptoms to include irritability, bloating, random hunger, headaches, but no sore or swollen boobs. I've been around different females that have either just started or just finished their cycle or either they are pregnant. What could this be? I just started a new job that requires lots of physical work and a lot less sleep. And I've been stressing about my period. Any ideas?

I'm curious about the statement that you did your calculations and determined that there's no way you could be pregnant. The only way that could be true is if you haven't had sex. If you have, even if you think it was on a "safe" date, there's a chance for pregnancy, and it's obvious that even after your calculations, you're still concerned that this could be a possibility.

Stress can delay a period, but there's really no way for us to know if that's what's going on.

We can't diagnose pregnancy, or stress, over the internet.

You may have gotten a negative hpt because it's too early to test, or you tested incorrectly.

Wait another week, test again using first morning urine, and follow the directions exactly. If it's negative wait for your next period. If you miss that period, test again, or see your doctor for a more accurate blood test.

Good luck.

When I say calculations I mean the days that I had sex don't match up to me missing my period due to pregnancy.. it's the 16th and I had sex June 3 I was supposed to started the first week of June.. sorry I should've specified:)

Unless you know exactly when you ovulated, and not just a guess, then your calculations could be way off. You can't go by the average woman. Pregnancy can even occur while on your period. It happens all the time.

Sadly, my reply is the same as my first post. That's really the only option you have.

I wish you the best of luck.
