I was not diagnosed with ADHD when ounger, yet I am 33 and have had to live with this hypo thing forever, I got into a lot of petty trouble leading to me being put into vare at 10 yrs old, from there 13 foster homes 2 boarding schools 2 children's homes a secure unit at 13yrs old for running away a lot, then 24 different prisons consisting of 12yrs in total, I was given a now banned drug called melerill(s.i.c.) and lots of anti psycotic medication, now it I believe has crept up as I no longer sleep normally, have flashbacks etc , I want answers but feel no one wants to admit the neglegence and physically and mental, emotional abuse . Can I get help with this someone please help me to at least expose the horrific abuse in both these systems thanku

Mellaril is not a banned drug in the U.S. It's other name is Thorazine. Have you ever had psychiatric treatment?

If given this in the prison, the prison medical staff would have prescribed it to control your behavior in prison.

And why you were not seen by a medical professional for ADHD every social and youth problem was not blamed on it 20 years ago either.

But it is obvious from your running away, getting into constant trouble there were problems. And most likely had them since childhood. Time to be seen and treated for your troubles.

hi j-9 I was never diagnosed with any mental instability, I was 17 when they gave me numerous doses of said drug , I think 150ml 2x a day due to me having 1 fight, (everyone has a fight in juvey don't they?? Anyway it was banned over here in early early 2000ish they use it for elderly patients I was told? I have never had "treatment as in mental wise but that was not the only medication the H.M.P gave me , this is the list remembering I never got diagnosed with anything!. largactil, mellerill, olanzapine, seriquel, nitrazapam ,diazapam, mertazapam, zopiclone, phenagen, chloraprom azine? Man to frickin much , I now have diazapmam to sleep as I am sometimes having really bad flashbacks , and feel so bloody angry I was trying to find the staff from my children's home who used to hold me down spitting in my face etc as I was so small this has all been buryed deep n I feel it is all coming to the surface and I ready to ing explode?

I was taken to see someone when about 6 or 7 , but apparently my mother said he said she had a lovely family?? I was a little but I was deffo misunderstood as seeing now how all escallated its all coming to the surface and is actually now affecting my everyday life, maybe I institutionalised I don't know really don't but the flashbacks etc are rather frightening
