Me and my boyfriend were in love from December 2011 to May 2012. And then on June 1st, he broke up with me because he found out I was going to the movies with my guy friend, (which I had never done any romantic interactions with him), and he got jealous. I was a nervous wreck and asked my best friend for help. She comforted me and gave me tremendous support, until she started hanging out with him more than she started hanging out with me.
She's been hanging out with my ex, and his best friend, (who is also my good friend). She stopped talking to me, completely. Then, she started to make plans with the two of them right in front of me, without inviting me. I was surprised, since she's my best friend. But then I reassured myself because I knew that my ex boyfriend, me, and his best friend would always make plans that would fall to dust no matter how hard I tried. But the next day, they talked about how their parents had already talked it over and how they were excited.
My ex's best friend later told me that he suggested inviting me, but she said "No. She's depressing and nerdy. I don't want her to come." I admit, I have been pretty depressing lately, but it's because he broke up with me, right? Am I acting normally when it comes to the situation?
Now, she and my ex hang out alone, a lot. They even shoo my ex's best friend away from them if he tries to hang with them. My other best friend, Isabella, knew about my depression. The day at school after the breakup, I missed half of it because I was feeling sad and embarrassed. Isabella yelled at John in front of the whole class, and it spread around the school that he broke it off with me.
Everyone was talking about it and said things like, "he doesn't deserve you," and cheesy things like that. I appreciate the support, but I hate that it's suddenly their business now.
When my best friend said rude things about me behind my back to my ex, he started ignoring me too. We were really good friends after the breakup, until she said those things. Now they both ignore me. I've tried texting and calling my best friend, saying that I'm sorry for whatever I've done to make her mad, but she doesn't listen. There are now rumors that they are going out, and it hurts me so much. All my girlfriends say that he's an a**, but that doesn't help.
I think I'm still in love with him, a tiny bit. It hurts so much. What do I do?
