Okay there was a girl walking home when these two guys I think she knew were trying to rape her but another guy came and beat the guys up and picked up the girl and took her home and laid her on her porch they worked at the same job... then after a while they fell in love and he went to go take out the trash on night and he got hit in the head by the guys he beat up and he had to go to the hospital and he had cancer .and close to the end of the movie they went to go see a game and after the game he died in the car after cancer

I think ethan hawke may play the older brother but Im not entirely sure.
