Well I am recently divorced and my ex- husband has set up child support for me to pay. Don't get me wrong I do not mind taking care of my children but it is hard when I only make about a thousand dollars a month and he refuses to work. So my question is what do I need to do to sign my rights away since I never get to see my children? My children act like they don't know who I am either .

Get your ex husband to re-marry. And then get his wife to adopt the children.

And read this (https://www.askmehelpdesk.com/family-law/signing-over-rights-read-first-116098.html) thread.

You don't. There is a myth that a parent can just sign over their rights. But its only a myth.

No court will terminate your rights just to let you out of paying support.

I'm a bit confused here. Your ex husband got custody of the children and you have to pay support. Because he doesn't work?

As to not seeing your children, why not? Didn't you get visitation?

There is no way to sign away rights not to pay child support, There would not be 1000 people in jail in TN right now for non payment if it was that easy. TN locks up people for non support all the time.

In Tennessee even a custodial parent will have to pay support to a non-custodial parent if the custodial parent makes significantly more than the non-custodial parent.
