Install procedure should come with the thermocouple. Each model is different although similar. Typically you will remove the access panel covering the burner, locate the TC, unclip it from the bracket, remove the gas valve nut and pull the TC out. Install is reversed.

You just pull out burner assembly and the thermocouple bracket is screwed to the side of the burner. Replace the thermocouple then note how to adjust it. You will have to slide it in or out to let only 3/8" of tip in flame. More or less than that and it will not work or will fail again. When you remove burner turn off gas at source before gas valve and you may remove assembly with or without gas valve attached: whichever way is easiest. When you remove burner make sure to clean the burner and vacuum out chamber to remove trash and rust flakes. Look for any leaks in chamber and on vent pipe. If vent is rusted you will want to replace it with good double-walled pipe.
