My husband had a girlfriend who claimed he was the father of her baby. When the baby was born he was listed as the father on her birth certificate and supported her till the age of 6 years old. Well she during that time would always tell him he wasn't the father and eventually they broke up. He took her to court for custody and she told the judge he wasn't the father and requested for a DNA test which my husband refused to take cause he didn't want to lose his rights if it came back he wasn't the fAther. So he paid her child support and medical insurance for a year on the side without a court order. The mother decided to stop letting him have visitations and it was left alone. Now the daughter is 21 years old and has contacted my husband wanting a relationship with him. He does want to take a DNA test to see if she is his. The question we have is, can her mother file back pay child support on him if she does come out to be his? Remember there was never a court order for him to ever pay child support. We live in the state of Texas.
