I have been friends with this guy for 3 yrs. I told him 2 1/2 years ago that I like him and he told me that he was flattered but did not see me in that way. Since then we have become intimate and spend lots of time together. When he is not around me I can't stop thinking about him. I want to tell him how I feel but I am afraid that his response will be the same as before... What should I do?

The only thing you can do is talk to him, but if you keep those feelings bottled up and he doesn't feel the same way, you could do something very stupid to ruin your frienship, like kiss him for example. I've seen it happen time and time again.

Tell him! But you must be prepared for consequences. Due to the situation there could be several consequenes, with a majority being negative. From personal experience you must always prepare for the worst.

I must stress that keeping your feelings bottled up is not healthy, and if you don't express your feelings you may regret it.

If he says he feels the same way, great!.

BUT you must be prepared for the same response again. If he says no, you need to be able to accept his answer calmly. He is your best friend so he doesn't want to break your heart, if he sees you emotional, crying and heartbroken, he WILL feel very guilty, and because of this he may find it uncomfortable to remain good friends with you.

The fact is you DO need to know how he feels so you can move on with your life.

If he doesn't feel the same you know that you can go out and find someone else a hundred times better than him, and someone that will love you 100% :)

Remember: everything happens for a reason, and whether it is good or bad, it will make you a stronger person.

I wish you all the best :)
