I was exposed to Toxoplasma at ~6yo and tested positive. I am now 30 and have not had any other tests or scans done since exposure. Should I be having brains scans and blood tests done regularly to keep track of that? Are there are any new treatments to get rid of the parasite permanently? Having this all life can't be good for you!

Thanks.

I know little about the condition, but I don't see anything online about having tests done during a possible latent stage. Healthy people don't generally need antibiotics or pyrimethamine to fight it. If you were to be in the latent stage and immunocompromised, such as being HIV or having a transplant, then symptoms could reappear.
If you have concerns about vague or unusual symptoms, you should see a parasite expert, most of whom as far as I know are in larger medical centers.

Am I correct that you are under the care of a Physician for this or anything else, such as routine checkups?
