My ptsd is getting in the way of my probation treatment. I want to know if there's anyway I can get off my federal probation early. I was in prison for 4 months and have been on probation for 2.5 years. I would ask my probation officer but he does not side with me on anything and I worry that he is using anything he can find to violate me. The day I was leaving for prison I was violently throwing up and asked him if I could go to the hospital. He refused and I ended up having pnemonia and had to have surgery in prison. So I don't trust him.

You have an option. You could go back in and do the rest of your time.

Something about your version of events seems fishy.

First, your PO has no control over you going into prison, and you should have no contact with him prior to being released on probation. And sorry, no one gets out of reporting for prison for being sick, and what surgery did you have because of pnemonia, but they have good prison hospitals or treatment.

Next why or how is PTSD getting in the way of probation treatment ?

Sorry, but you do your probation, follow the rules and there is no problems or trouble, the only time there is any trouble or disagreement is one the person on probation wants to do something outside the normal.

He is not your friend, is not suppose to be your friend, and yes his job is to catch you doing something and send you back, so you just don't do things that are wrong

Ha yea such good hospitals that I died on the operating table and they left a rib out of place. I'm not expecting my po to be my friend but I have done nothing wrong during my probation yet he finds little things and twists them into something else. My probation treatment breaks down everything about me and makes me feel worthless. My ptsd treatment is supposed to make me feel better, but being in probation treatment makes that impossible. I still can't sleep at night and am paranoid as . I also have to take 4 different polygraphs. And my po told me that ptsd can alter the polygraph, but it isn't taking into account so I could tell the truth on everything and still fail. All I want to find out is if a war veteran can be released from probation to further treatment for ptsd.

You did not say how long of probation you have, but if you have served about 3/4 of it, you can request, but assuming this is FEDERAL probation, not a state probation for a felony. The Federal system does not let you off early as easy as the state does.

CAN?? Yes... Will it happen?? I doubt it. But, write a letter to the judge and make your request.. Send a copy to the prosecutor and your PO. You'll get it, or not.
