SOS... I have a 2$ US NOTE, 1953 Ser# A 21846158 A, signed Priest/Humphrey with Jeffersons portrait. The twist here is that the serial # and Treasury Seal are yellow/gold. (The Official Red Book only list Red.) Reverse is normal Monticello. What does it stand for?/Value? Any help much appreciated!!

Hello Rudy:
It might. I'd take it to a couple of your local coin shops. They'll buy it from you too, if it has any value. But, take it to a COUPLE of shops, just to make sure of the price.

Hello again, dog:
Then it's a good thing you didn't sell it to them. I'd keep looking for a collector who DOES know what it is. Then, and ONLY then, will you KNOW what its value is.
I DO understand a collector not having SEEN a bill of this type... I DON'T understand a collector who says they know NOTHING about it... IF the collector was worth his salt, he'd KNOW what your bill is.

Thanks excon. I agree totally. Coin dealers know their craft when it comes to precious metals and most deal in currency as well but that's secondary. The Note stays with me until?
Cheers!
