I live in Maryland with my 2 year old son. We moved once away from his father (same state, different county... about 35 minutes from my last location) and I've bent over backward, including using my own gas to drop him off to him and facilitate the frequency just as often as before. I wish to move to Florida with my boyfriend, who will be relocating for work. My son's father often fails to utilize his visitation days (I have sole physical, as he is finanically irresponsible, and living conditions are less than desirable for a small child, which he knew, and didn't object to awarding my sole physical custody in court. We share legal custody). I try to reshedule them, and he often finds other things that are a priority to take care of. I know this will be an up hill battle. I'll do the necessary research--how I will obtain a job, where I will work, how much childcare will cost, how good the schools systems are... I'll walk in the courtroom with a powerpoint presentation if I have to. I am wondering since our custody arrangement states "reasonable visitation," and nothing else, how hard this will be.

Thank you.

Get your presentation ready, since unless the bio father is OK with it, you will need to convince the court.
