My dad is taking loratab 10s I believe he takes 7 or 8 maybe more a day I'm afraid he's adiicted he's like a different person when he is out of them its like he gets mean acting it got worse after my baby brother died in February I don't want to confront him about it but I'm having to deal with it too he lives in my house what do I do

Lortab (acetaminophen and hydrocodone) poses a dual danger. Hydrocodone is addictive and acetaminophen used over a period or excessive dosage can cause liver damage. The latter is probably more worrisome than the former.
Hopefully the prescribing physician is aware of both factors and will limit by removing your father from the drug at the appropriate time. Liver function tests are recommended when this drug is used across a period.
You noted that he takes about 8 per day. Is that consistent with the prescribed dosage?
