My daughter has had two episodes of feeling stomach pain suddenly and then passing out. Unfortunately, this last episode left her with a split lip and bruises. I took her to the doctor who said all looks good (healthy diet, hydration good, no anemia), though she has BP of 110/54. We also had a blood test which we are waiting for the results. She said most likely that she just has low blood pressure and will have to pay attention to when she feels like she will pass out.
I am wondering why there is no concern as to the "why" of the low blood pressure. Could it possibly mean a heart problem? She mentioned that maybe it's that she has a very strong heart and doesn't need to work so hard, but I have always thought that the pulse being low shows that, but my daughter's resting pulse was 95.
I am concerned because my daughter is going to hike in the mountains in a couple of weeks at girls camp and I worry about whether I should let her or not.
