Check and make sure that the discharge duct system going to the outside from the dryer is properly installed and CLEAN inside. Many times lint or other restrictions will cause premature element failure and also cause longer drying time.
You may also have a operating control or high limit control that has gone out of calibration. No way for you to check that without the proper test equipment.
Make sure that your household voltage 220/230 volts is within specs for your dryer. There was a house one time in my service career that had 255/265 volts going to the 220/230 volt appliances and that was causing much trouble.
