y=6-x
2x-3y=22

its simple,
given,
y=6-x --------- be eq(1).
2x-3y=22 ---------be eq(2).

now substitute y in eq(2)
i.e, 2x-3(6-x)=22
:- 2x-18+3x=22
:- 5x=40
:- x=8.
now substituting the x value in eq.(1) to get the value of y.
i.e, y=6-8
==== y=2.
therefore by solving the equations we get
x = 8 and y = 2.

i.e, y=6-8
==== y=2.

Actually 6 minus 8 equals negative 2.
