I am a landlord & rented 1 1/2 years ago to someone who wanted to get a dog. There was newer carpet in there, and never another pet. I told them that they would lose some of the deposit if the pet damaged it by urinating on the new carpet. They have moved out and I used a blacklight to look for urine & it is everywhere! Easily 30 different areas on the carpet... clearly urine, glows yellowish/green in "dribbles" and pools, I tried to take a photograph of some of the areas and they barely show because of the flash of the digital camera. Can you suggest a way to photograph this for proof of damage. thank you.

The flash as you noticed will counteract the blacklight. So what you'll need to do is set your camera for long-exposure (F3.5 or lower, 10-15 seconds, no flash) and set your camera on a stand so that it does not move/shake and take the picture. You may need to experiment with different exposure times to get the shot you're looking for but this should get you reasonable results.
