I had a peson help drop the gas tank and we fitted a new gas pump I drove the car and a day later saw gas coming out the pipe that goes into the evapourator canister can you help thanks

This is a car I fitted a fuel pump on the fuel tank after driving I found fuel coming out the pipe that goes into the evapourator canister why is thefuel coming out this pipe I am losing fuel
