View Full Version : Ducane Air Conditioner outside won't turn on the fan blower works ?

I replaced the pull fuse outside in the grey box and nothing happened the fan blower inside the furnace works but the outside air conditioner does not work ?

Test the fuses you replaced. You never know if they are good or bad without testing. Next look in the outdoor units service compartment and see if the contactor/ main relay/starter is pulled in. If not pulled in activate with a push in movement using a plastic insulated screw driver or other non conductive tool. That contactor starter is controlled by the inside unit to activate the outdoor unit. If it activates by pushing in then the problem is more than likely with the indoor 24 volt signal to the outdoor unit. IF you do not know what you are doing with electric just stop right now and call for Professional HVAC on site service since working with electric can hurt or kill you.
