My cat scraches carpet and wood and walls he scraches it so bad that it looks like a dog chewed pieces off it he is know going after wood dressers I thought it was because he was an indoor cat so know I let her out but she still does it she knows its bad cause when I hear her doing it and go and see she runs I've bought everything I even put up foil paper on things she likes to scratch on. So she would stop and go to her scraching post. But instead she removes the tape that holds the foil up and moves it and continues to scratch I love this cat but I'm about to give up and get rid of her please help

Regular nail trims may help some, it will at least take the super sharp hook off the nail.
Of course this will have to be done regularly.
If your comfortable with doing them yourself and the cat will let you this is something you can do at home.
Have someone at your vets office show you how first, so that you'll know how far is safe to trim.
There is also a product called Soft Paws, they can be purchased at pet supply stores.
Depending how tolerant your cat is you may or may not be able to apply them yourself.
Many cats have to be sedated in order to have it done.
Best to get the nails trimmed before you try applying them.

Do you have a couple of sturdy scratching posts made with sisal wrapping a wood post? A cheap and easy one to make is to roll up a carpet remnant so it's inside out with the rough base showing (don't use a carpet piece with foam). The cat will like to scratch on that.

I hope your cat has been neutered if you are letting it go outdoors.
