My boyfriend of 9 months is now not comfortable with my " not legally divorced status". He suggested we " take a step back and be friends until divorce is final, or " need time to sort out this matter", but not necessary meaning "need space". I'm confused. What is he telling me? 4 days later after we last saw each other, he called to say "hi". A day later, he called to see how I was doing? What should I do? I didn't give him updates of my divorce which will be finalizing in about a week.

Don't be confused, he is concerned is all and in a week, he will be relieved.
